Shilpa Nayudu

Shilpa Nayudu is a self-taught artist, who switched her career as an Army officer and a dentist to pursue her dream. In the last few years she has explored various themes and media before finally falling in love with printmaking. She takes inspiration from nature and spaces around her and her work revolves around her ruminations on life . Her work reflects the conflicting feelings of wonder and dismay she experiences as she meanders through life and is strongly tinged with feminism, sexual liberation and personal angst. She’s also experimenting with sculpture and stop motion animation.
