Shilpa Nayudu is a visual artist whose practice explores the human body as a site of fragility, resilience, and innate intelligence. Working across textile, painting, embroidery, and participatory formats, she follows a process-led approach to reflect on care, repair, and embodied experience.

She studied Contemporary Art at the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL. Trained as a Dental surgeon, she has also served in the Indian Army. These varied experiences shape a materially grounded, research-led practice that bridges artistic inquiry with medical knowledge. She turns inward to illuminate the body’s wonderous landscapes while remaining attentive to its shared, collective nature.
