An abstract reflection on how skin wounds heal, using fibre, embroidery, and watercolour on handmade paper. Fragile, fibrous surfaces evoke torn skin and exposed tissue, while stitched lines suggest suturing, repair, and cellular movement. These layers hold a tension between vulnerability and resilience.
Rather than literal depiction, the work gestures toward the body’s innate adaptability—the slow, quiet choreography of inflammation, closure, and renewal. Healing here is understood not as erasure, but as transformation, where traces of injury remain embedded within the skin as subtle markers of survival.
